The Souk
I should have taken more pictures here, but it’s one of the hustle-and-bustle tight-squeeze try-to-hold-on-to-your-stuff-while-you-barter for food kind of places. Good times, the Souk. The one picture I have doesn’t do it justice because when shopping you go inside these small alleyways lined with shops and full of people. It is an outdoor supermarket. I know there’s a better name in English to describe it but I can’t think of it off the top of my head. It’s fun shopping there and that’s where locals get the best deals on food. I liked to get my fruits and veggies and bags of pistachios for way cheap there. Gotta love a good deal! The only time I saw the Souk empty was during the Jewish Holiday called Yom Kippur, and it was a little weird. As you can see I managed to get a picture on that day.
